with authors and curators Elena Biagini and Irene Villa.
Libreria delle donne of Bologna will be present with copies of the book.
Published in 1983 by Felina, the first feminist Italian publishing house, Il nostro mondo comune is a pamphlet collectively written by a group of lesbians belonging to CLI (Collegamento Lesbiche Italiane – Lesbian Italian Connection) as a response of the erasure of lesbianism inside the document Più donne che uomini (More women than men) curated by Gruppo N. 4 of the Women’s Library in Milan. Against the silence surrounding lesbian existence within the theory of sexual difference, the authors take a stand collectively addressing the erasure of lesbianism inside and outside feminism, in order to imagine a world that can be shared by women, based on the fight against heteronormativity and the acceptance of women’s differences. This work is pivotal to know more about Italian lgbit*q history and to acknowledge the role of lesbians inside the feminist movement.
